The version 1.1 is now up. 

Due to an overlap in the game ID, save game files of the first episode (The Wizard's Tower) were selectable in this second game as well. This led to all sort of errors, because clearly resources used there were not available here. 
Now the problem is solved,  but the trade-off is that pre-1.1 save game files are not usable anymore. If you had saved a game, you will have to start again.

I am sorry for the inconvenience, but there were no valid alternatives.
At least it is a 30-60 minutes game instead of a 40 hours long adventure.
